On Thursday, February 20, we had a visit by a Olympic gold
medalist, Robert Esmie, and a Canadian musican, Marcel Gagnon. They came here to
talk to us about believing in our goals and trying hard to achieve them. It
seemed to really touch the children because they not only said to try hard, they
also said, don't forget your spirit and soul in training. They told us to have
fun being a kid while we can. I think that they really made a good point of
encouraging kids to stick to their goals. It was a really great message for
everybody. Something fun about the presentation was that everyone got to touch
an Olympic gold medal and make a wish. I also think it was interesting because
Mr. Gagnon played us a little tune and let two kids sign his wheel of faith. I
think that everybody really loved it and I know that Mr. Gagnon and Mr. Esmie
are always welcome in Norquay School. |
