This May, the grade 7 students of Norquay went to Camp Jubilee. The camp was situated on the sandy beaches of the beautiful Deep Cove, where the students found many crabs. They did many activities inculding hiking, kayaking, canoeing, archery, orienteering, ropes course and field games. They were divided into 3 girl cabins, and 6 boy cabins which was their home for 3 days and 2 nights. All the grade 7's were also divided into several groups. These several groups would rotate around the camp, doing the several activities. We had many delicious meals thanks to the talented camp chef. During our meals we would be divided again into different tables. We were divided many times to socialize with as many people in grade 7 as we could, to learn new things with new people. We have to thank the our teachers and volunteers for making this trip possible. Camp was a joyful experience and none of the grade 7 students will be able to forget it. -Sharan Pawa Div.1 |
