Kids Helping Kids Helping Canuck Place - Part One

Not so long ago, team Kids Helping Kids had mission to raise eight hundred dollars for Canuck Place. This is a hospice for children who are terminally ill, so that they can make their last few days or weeks the best. It is called Canuck Place because their main sponsors are the Vancouver Canucks hockey team.
First, we started planning and deciding dates and activities we were going to do. After we were done deciding the dates and activities, we actually did the activities. We had a chip sale, bake sale, raffle draws and jelly bean count. On February 6, the raffle ticket sales and chip sales started. The chip sale went really well and we sold out quickly. The raffle had lots of customers too and we made about three hundred dollars on our first day.
The prizes were a unicorn plushie, B-daman and book, stationery set and a basketball. The grand prizes were an entertainment book and a Canucks flag autographed by Markus Naslund. The winners were Liang Jiang who won the unicorn, Leon Tang who won the B-daman, Stephen Guan who won the basketball, Anisha Maharaj who won the entertainment book, and Mr. Chiu who won the autographed flag.
On February 8, the jelly bean count and bake sale started. The jelly bean count went well. We didn't have as many customers as the raffle, but we still made some money. The winner was Miss Skipper. The real answer was 656. The bake sale went really well and we made lots of money from that too, and it was really quick and simple.
The fundraising was fun and tiring but I had to remind myself I'm helping kids who are going to die. At the end I felt really good when I remembered why I did it and I think everyone else did too.
