Yoko's Designs
Yoko came to Norquay Elementary School from Collingwood Neighbourhood House, to get the kids to design a banner for Slocan Park. We had to make a design for the four seasons known as Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter! We had to give Yoko our paper banners. She then drew the designs on the big banner.
Our class used fabric paint to paint the designs on the big banner. After we were done we gave the banner back to Yoko. Soon after we finished painting the banner Yoko took it to Slocan Park and installed it on a light post.
We had a choice of to make a Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter banner. The progress took about 4 periods. Some people took the time to finish it at home. Also the girls in Mrs.Goodtrack's class missed some of their lunch period to paint the big banner. We were glad to help Yoko achieve her goal!!
